Introduction

My name's Elisabeth. I'm a 19-year-old aspiring author. Given that I hope to start trying to publish short stories soon, I thought I should acquire a blog for my Official Writing Business, for name recognition purposes and ... whatever else.
I've never been very good at talking about myself. The majority of what I write is science fiction or fantasy. The username is one of Artemis' epithets - Phaesporia, the Light Bearer. I've always had a fond spot for Artemis, in all her raging beauty.
I love mythology, and stories about women who are real people, and stories about competent people, and narratives that don't go where you expect them to. I'm pretty ardent about social justice. For now, I'm on an Overseas Experience, but as of August 2012 I will be returning to America to attend college.
I love writing.
And that's sort of the point, here, isn't it?
